Art is a difficult thing to accurately describe but, when I have to, I like to describe my work as ‘Stills from a postmodern, science-fiction movie set ten minutes in the future’ and my process as ‘Re-examining Bits and Pieces of What’s Been Discarded in the Haste of the Late 20th Century and Sticking Them Together’.
Mostly because it just sounds good to be honest.

One of the things that makes tattooing the most powerful art form around is that the iconography is constantly evolving. Tattooists throughout the ages have, traditionally, drawn art that – almost always – involved some form of social comment based on the era and culture they were living in – whether they were aware of it or not.
And I’m not really any different. I’m just a Good Old Fashioned Rebel Challenging the Notion that Tattoo Iconography is Relevant to a 2oth Century Analogue, Comic Book Reading, Suburban, Rock’n’Roll Kid from the Middle of England.

Please just include WHAT you want and where. All tattoos are meaningful in some way. But, why you want your tattoo and the meaning behind it really doesn’t help me. I prefer a rough outline of your idea first. Then we can talk about the details together as we make your artwork. It’s easier this way and a little more ‘Human’.
Once I’ve read your message, I’ll take a look at what you want and message back with any questions. Once we’re both happy, I’ll have Carron book the necessary amount of appointments for your piece.
Carron will ask you for a booking fee when she makes your appointments, which will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo on the final session.
Day starts at 11am. The first session is when I make your artwork. So please make sure you bring any reference images etc with you on the first day.
I’ll make your artwork, size it and make sure we’re both happy with it.
I find this is a far better way of communicating when it comes to art as we can just chat as I’m working and get your piece exactly as it should be without all the confusing back and forth on message or email.
Your artwork can take anything from 2-6 hours to make depending on it’s complexity and theme. We break for lunch (30 mins) around 2pm.
Day finishes around 5pm. The first session is charged at my hourly rate up to six hours and at my day rate after that as it’s slightly cheaper.
Once we’re done you’ll leave the studio with an A3 print of your piece for you to keep and I’ll see you the following day for tattooing.
I prefer you to book 2 (or 3 days) back to back (depending on the size of your piece) as this makes more sense if you’re travelling any distance to get to my shop.
Day starts at 11am. So please arrive at the studio anytime after 10:30. I’ll place any stencils and we’ll start tattooing.
Day finishes around 5pm (give or take) and we break for lunch (30 mins) around 2pm. There are a few eating options available within walking distance of the shop or you can bring food with you.
ALL AFTERCARE IS PROVIDED (H2OCEAN CREAM, FOAM WASH & DERMALISE FILM) FREE OF CHARGE.
Unfortunately, due to my schedule and the complexity of my style, it’s not really possible to do bespoke tattoos in a single day as I simply don’t have time to make your artwork outside of my work days. Except In some VERY RARE cases.
I can create the artwork without you there (for a fee) and show it you on the day. Providing you are happy to go with whatever I show you.
If you want a piece that is Smaller than A5 I can make the artwork in the morning and then tattoo it in the afternoon but, you’ll need to drop me a message so that we can discuss it first.
I do have a load of pre-made, customisable designs available on my website for you to choose from. All these pieces can be completed in a day and customised with your own text, colours and images on the morning of your appointment if required.
I can as long as I see it in advance of making the appointments and it will be able to be covered. I can also do black out work and blast overs too.
